| Tetanus Ab

Tetanus is a bacterial infection caused by Clostridium tetani, characterized by muscle spasms, which can be severe enough to cause fractures. Other symptoms may include fever, sweating, headache, difficulty swallowing, high blood pressure, and an increased heart rate. Symptoms typically appear between three to twenty-one days after infection, and recovery may take several months. Approximately 10% of cases are fatal. The Clostridium tetani bacteria are commonly found in soil, saliva, dust, and feces, and they usually enter the body through skin breaks.

| Recovery

The recovery of Rat Tetanus Ab spiked at three different levels in samples throughout the range of the assay was evaluated in various matrices.

Samples were spiked with high concentrations of Rat Tetanus Ab and diluted with Universal Diluent to produce samples with values within the range of the assay.
